Freelance Highlights: September Edition

September has been a whirlwind of productivity, learning, and well-earned relaxation! Here’s a snapshot of my month:

Supporting Future Dietitians

I kicked off the month by hosting Placement 1 for UEA, a Peer Enhanced e-Placement that provided an innovative practice-based learning opportunity for aspiring dietitians. It’s always rewarding to help shape the future of our profession!

Leading the Way in Practice-Based Learning

A key highlight was leading my first BDA HEI PBL project roundtable, where we explored exciting possibilities for expanding practice-based learning in higher education. Engaging in these thought-provoking discussions has only fueled my passion for creating accessible, high-quality dietetic education.

Celebrating 40 Years of PENG

In a special milestone event, I co-organized and attended the PENG 40th birthday study event, honoring four decades of advancing parenteral and enteral nutrition. It was an inspiring day filled with knowledge sharing and networking.

Mentoring the Researchers of Tomorrow

I also had the pleasure of supervising UEA dietetic students’ dissertations, guiding them through the process of academic research. Watching their ideas develop has been incredibly fulfilling.

Finding Balance with Adventure

Amidst all the hard work, I made time to recharge! I spent 18 days sailing around Croatia, soaking up the sun and sea. As if that wasn’t enough, I squeezed in a week in Cyprus for a wedding—a perfect blend of celebration and relaxation.

Feeling refreshed and energized, I’m ready to tackle what’s ahead! Here's to more impactful projects, meaningful connections, and maybe a bit more sun along the way! 🌞
